Dear Robert Lynch, SUBJECT: Reporting Street Light Outages to JCP&L DATE: September 12th 2023 NARRATIVE: The Township of Ocean Police Department is making an effort to raise awareness for the procedure by which residents can report street light outages in their community. Properly functioning street lights are a proven tool in preventing crime and reducing the risk of criminal activity, as well as ensuring motorist, bicyclist and pedestrian safety. Please feel free to review the JCP&L Municipal Lighting Handbook, as well as the online form for reporting outages. Both can be accessed by utilizing the respective hyperlinks below. If you have a street light that is not functioning properly in your neighborhood please feel free to report the issue immediately. When there is a power failure it is important that everyone affected calls it in to JCP&L. This helps them to have an accurate idea of the extent of the power loss. Please don't assume someone else has called it in...
