Dear Robert Lynch, SUBJECT: Reporting Street Light Outages to JCP&L DATE: September 12th 2023 NARRATIVE: The Township of Ocean Police Department is making an effort to raise awareness for the procedure by which residents can report street light outages in their community. Properly functioning street lights are a proven tool in preventing crime and reducing the risk of criminal activity, as well as ensuring motorist, bicyclist and pedestrian safety. Please feel free to review the JCP&L Municipal Lighting Handbook, as well as the online form for reporting outages. Both can be accessed by utilizing the respective hyperlinks below. If you have a street light that is not functioning properly in your neighborhood please feel free to report the issue immediately. When there is a power failure it is important that everyone affected calls it in to JCP&L. This helps them to have an accurate idea of the extent of the power loss. More to come... CTPA Neighborhood FALL BLOCK PARTY is planned for Sunday, Oct. 29th from 1-5pm. You should have received the flyer at your door. Food, music, 50/50 drawing, pumpkin paining and even a candy hunt. Cost will be $10/person and $5 for children under 12. Bring family and friends. Please return the bottom portion of the flyer with pay by Oct. 22nd for RSVP Annual CTPA dues can also be paid at the block party. It is a fun get together every year.

We will be sprucing up the berm park area in the Terrace as well as along Asbury Ave between Bingham and Bimbler. Please meet at the berm near the office building at 12:00 noon to sign-in and receive equipment and assignments. All help is greatly appreciated!! Please lend a hand!! It's time to clear out your basements, garages, and closets! The Annual Colonial Terrace Garage Sale is set for Saturday, May 20th! The cost is $8.00 per household which covers signage, maps with all of the participating homes listed and advertising in the Asbury Park Press, The Coaster, and Craigs List. Jim & Kathy will be getting the permits for all participating households and will deliver them the morning of the yard sale along with maps.
